Lots of people talk about Green Tea, I am one of them for sure. A Japanese drink with tons of good things to bring to the table. Let’s talk about a few today.
Some people say that Green Tea is the king of teas, due to the huge variety of benefits and properties that brings to our health. Green tea is a powerful natural infusion, which will protect your immune system by increasing your defenses and that also can prevent you from getting sick.
Among the most notable’s benefits of the Green Tea, we found its high content of antioxidants. They help to improve our physical appearance, and one in particular, the rejuvenation of our skin… you had me right there! Another wonderful benefit of Green Tea is, that because of its natural properties, this infusion is able to lower your cholesterol, a cup of green tea a day will significantly reduce levels of accumulated fat in your body, yay!!! I know I know, it’s an apple a day keeps the Doctor away, and perhaps green tea will keep doctors away too. Ha!
Green Tea also helps the liver to process food and toxins better. Your liver will feel much lighter if you drink green tea every day. And as I mentioned before, Green Tea is wonderful by helping you eliminate fat and accumulated toxins that reach your body. That been said, just add a good diet and some daily exercise, and I can assure you that you will not only feel great, you will be shedding some extra pounds from your body.
Some of the articles I read said that Green Tea even helps to fight constipation, by acting as a natural laxative, not so sure about that one, but maybe it does help other people, not me, and I drink a lot of green tea.
Antioxidants, lots of them, Green Tea contains a compound called EGCG (epigallocated gallate) which is responsible for stimulating hair cells, it will not only help you to promote hair grow, but also to prevent you from losing it. And an addition to drinking a cup, you can rinse your wet hair with some green tea infusion, leave it for at least 10 minutes, wash it and you are ready. I’m always looking for ways to protect my hair, I have tried the green tea rinse, and I really like it.
Oral Health, first time I hear or read about that one! But Green Tea contains high levels of polyphenols and catechins, and together they are capable of combat the bacteria that cause tooth decay, bad breath and other similar conditions. So now that I think about it, I always get an A+ when I go to the dentist for my year checkup. But remember no sugar or sweeter, just drink it pure, adding something may decrease the benefits of it. Some said that Green Tea helps with memory loss, again not for me, my friends called me Doris from Finding Nemo, lol! According to several studies, Green Tea is also very good when it comes to enhancing our cognitive abilities, it can stimulate our brain helping in some cases to lower the risk in some nervous system diseases.
Too much of anything it’s not good for us, Green Tea is a natural diuretic, it may help you cleanse and detox your body, but if you drink too much, it can lead to make you lose nutrients and essential vitamins, so drink responsibly – not like me, 4 each day! … do as I say and no as I do 😉
